Who's The Dummy?

Jim Barber grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota and has entertained professionally for over 30 years.

Even though he has performed with a variety of original puppet characters throughout his career, the Barber & Seville has been the act that defined Jim's creativity in comedy and remains an integral routine in his shows today.

Jim invented the concept and design of the character in 1983 while attending the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

His performances have taken him around the world as a headliner in comedy clubs, colleges, cruise ships and theaters. He now co-owns and co-stars in his own venue in Branson, Missouri where he performs most of the year.
